Christopher Isnor

Information

Chris brings experienced judgment and a steady, strategic approach to litigation and advising businesses, creditors and individuals in complex disputes where outcomes carry real consequences.

His practice spans bankruptcy and insolvency matters, contractual disputes, and civil litigation. Chris regularly represents clients at critical moments – helping them navigate financial pressure, resolve conflicts and make informed decisions with confidence. He appears frequently before the New Brunswick Court of King’s Bench and Court of Appeal, including as lead counsel in a wide range of matters.

Chris’s approach is grounded in clarity and perspective. Clients facing litigation need more than legal analysis – they need a clear understanding of their options, the risks involved and the path forward.

I think it’s important to be thinking about where things are going,” he says. “How we respond to changes in the field, how we build our practices – that’s part of what makes the work interesting.

Since joining Lawson Creamer in 2016, Chris has built his practice within the firm, taking on increasingly complex matters and developing strong, long-term client relationships. He was named a partner in 2026, reflecting both his experience and his role in supporting clients through high-stakes situations.

In addition to his client work, Chris contributes to the legal profession and the broader community. He serves on the Board of Directors of the New Brunswick Lung Association and has previously served on the Saint John Law Society Council. He has also appeared as a guest lecturer at the University of New Brunswick, supporting students and young lawyers in developing advocacy skills.

Chris lives in Rothesay, where he grew up, and remains active in the community. He has coached and continues to volunteer with the Rothesay High School football team, reflecting a strong interest in youth athletics and mentorship. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, as well as travelling, hiking and camping.
