Information
Mara Mallory brings a rare combination of litigation depth and real-world business experience to her practice.
After building her legal foundation at a major regional firm, she spent more than a decade in senior roles in business development, institutional sales and organizational leadership before returning to law with a perspective most litigators take years to develop.
She advises clients navigating high-stakes disputes with practical, grounded judgment that reflects both courtroom experience and a firsthand understanding of how legal decisions affect real organizations and real people.
She appears regularly before the New Brunswick Court of King's Bench and Court of Appeal.
Her litigation work includes complex civil matters, appellate advocacy and significant involvement in the Wolastoqey Nation title claim – one of the most consequential Indigenous land rights cases in New Brunswick's history, a matter that has attracted national attention and reached the Supreme Court of Canada.
“Lawson Creamer handles some of the biggest litigation in the province, going head-to-head with much larger firms on equal footing,” she says. “That's what attracted me to this firm, and it's what makes the work compelling every day.”
Law runs in Mara's family. Her grandfather served on the bench, several uncles practised law, and her brother is a lawyer. She joined Lawson Creamer in 2022, drawn by the firm's reputation for sophisticated work and its culture of mentorship.
Mara serves on the boards of the New Brunswick Museum, the Saint John Region Chamber of Commerce and the Sisters of Charity Foundation. She lives in Saint John with her husband and four children.
